The Venue

India Cricket Live Arbab Niaz stadium,Peshawar The Arbab Niaz stadium, like the city it's built in, is different from the rest of the Pakistan. The atmosphere here is casual and relaxed, par for the course in this land of laidback Pathans. The first one-day international played here was between the home side and New Zealand in 1984-85, and the most recent was between Pakistan and Australia in 1998-99. The home side does not have a strong record at Arbab Niaz Stadium, with four wins in eight matches. But again, India have never made a one-day appearance here. Ever since the high-scoring draw two winter's ago between Pakistan and Australia (1468 runs for 18 wickets, including 334 not out and 92 by Mark Taylor), Peshawar gained a reputation for batting riches.
