Pakistan veterans clinches series

On a blistering summer morning, in front of a crowd of more than 15,000, Pravin Amre turned the clock back to score a splendid hundred, but that didn't prove enough to stop Pakistan from winning the second veterans' ODI. With the four-wicket win on Sunday, Pakistan also clinched the three-match series.
The visitor has taken an unassailable 2-0 lead. The final match will be played at Meerut on Tuesday. Amre's 126 not out off 85 balls (12x4, 5x6) was the mainstay of India's 292 for six in 40 overs (which looked a good score after being put in by Abdul Qadir), but Man of the Match Ijaz Ahmed (83), Mansoor Akhtar (69), Gulam Ali (57) and Azam Khan (45) helped Pakistan romp home with an over and a half to spare.
